• ChloesOpenSocket: Songs Are Our Protest

    )

    Every musician has a particular methodology; it makes us unique ‘ChloesOpenSocket’ is no exception. Michael J Marino and Tony Rook are alternative hard rockers, with red, white and blue pumping through their veins. There is no questioning the incredible talent these guys possess. As musicians ‘ChloesOpenSocket’ songs are enlightening, with lyrics immersed in personal freedom and empowerment.

    Tony handles percussion; an extremely versatile drummer, deep in the pocket is how he rolls. Tony knows how to ‘serve the music’ with a solid driving, rock style and hip-hop flare. Michael has maddening skill and intuition on bass, with brooding bass lines, incredible rhythm, and slides his fills hammer-ons/pull-off with ease, keeping right on tempo without letting the song fall flat, if that was not enough his distinctive vocals create an enchantment all on their own. Some folks say singing lead and playing bass is not an easy task to manage; however, Michael pulls it off effortlessly.

    Michael had this to say about their music. “Being a follower of politics and current events, most of the song material was related to these two topics. And, those of you who follow politics would agree; I hope, that in modern times, the pool we have to pick from for candidates is woefully shallow. So instead of walking around all pissed off about it all the time, I put my frustration with the system into song. Not all ChloesOpenSocket songs are political, but it’s hard to get away from it, since politics have now seemed to affect our personal lives on a day to day basis. So, these songs are my protest … Empower yourselves, learn, push back and listen to ChloesOpenSocket!”
