President Obama and Toronto Mayor Rob Ford have a couple things in common. They have both been mocked on late night television shows. They have both done hard drugs (Ford has homemade videos). And they are both viewed very unfavorably by a majority of the people they represent.
But with all of his crack- cocaine fueled rants, Rob Ford still has a higher public approval rating than Barack Obama.
Forum Research Inc. recently released a poll showing that 42 percent of Toronto voters approve of Rob Ford.
Ford’s 42 percent rating puts his approval two points above Obama’s 40 percent approval rating, according to Gallup’s latest survey.
This isn’t the first time that Ford’s approval rating has been polled higher than Obama’s. Last November when President Obama’s approval hit 41 percent, Rob Ford’s was three points higher at 44 percent.
As he continues to get rolled by Russian President Putin and more America realize the high costs of the Affordable Care Act, Obama’s approval will likely continue to tank.
