NBC News Suddenly Discovers That “Driving While High” Could Be an Issue in Colorado

Oh, right.

When recreational marijuana was officially legalized in Colorado earlier this year, NBC and other broadcast networks gushed over the “historic” news, declaring the new pot dispensaries to be a “Costco of Weed.” CBS News even promoted “Cannabis Capitalism” to “help with those marijuana munchies.”

But then came the 30+ Colorado arrests in the month of January for people who were pulled over for driving-while-stoned.

Oh, that’s right. There IS a dangerous aspect to all of this. And now, the intrepid news team at NBC has finally discovered it. Though it probably won’t be until tragedy strikes that anyone in the mainstream media actually takes it seriously. Mothers Against Stoned Driving, anyone?
