Kathleen Sebelius went before a furious House Ways and Means panel on Wednesday and got grilled on everything from rising health insurance costs to Obamacare’s illegal delays.
To no one’s surprise, Sebelius admitted to the House committee that Obamacare will raise health insurance premiums in 2015.
And despite delaying fines and penalties for large and medium-sized businesses, Sebelius said there would be “no delay” for enforcing the Obamacare law against individuals. Open enrollment for individuals ends on March 31st.
Sebelius also insisted that she doesn’t know how many enrollees have paid for coverage and are actually insured. Currently, only seven states have actually managed to publish data showing how many new insurance customers are paying their first-month premiums.
