Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) joined the crew Tuesday on “Fox & Friends” and unloaded on the Obama administration’s handling of the humanitarian crisis involving tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors flooding into the U.S.-Mexico border.
“We have record high numbers of other than Mexicans being apprehended at the border,” Gov. Perry warned. “These are people that are coming from states like Syria that have substantial connections back to terrorist regimes and terrorist operations. So we’re seeing record, historic high numbers of these individuals being apprehended.”
Gov. Perry also said that he “flagged this issue in 2012 and have yet to even have a response” from President Obama and “not even from his administration.”
“Obama is totally and absolutely either inept or making some decisions that are not in the best interest of American citizens, particularly from a public safety standpoint,” he said.
Gov. Perry is not alone in his warning about gang members coming into America. The Daily Mail has also noted that known gang members are among the estimated 47,000 children that have illegally crossed into the U.S. since the beginning of 2014.
