Business Owner Threw a “Bill Murray Ice Cream Social”…Can You Guess Who Showed Up?

At this point, there’s no sense in arguing who the coolest, most down-to-earth celebrity of all time is. Bill Murray has already won that coveted accolade multiple times over. Whether crashing random peoples’ weddings, showing up on college campuses, or jamming with bar bands, the Ghostbusters star shows no sign of slowing down in his quest to win The Internet. It seems like everyone has a story about meeting him, and every tale is more awesome than the last.

Here’s what happened in the latest reported epic Bill Murray encounter:

Joe, the owner of the the CVT Soft Serve truck, decided to throw a “Bill Murray Ice Cream Social” this week, after learning that the actor was in town shooting a movie. He invited the entire neighborhood, as well as the film’s cast and crew, for free ice cream, not seriously believing that 63-year old Murray would actually show up.

But of course he did! And here’s the proof:

Asked about the encounter, Joe responded this way: “Like my dad always says, ‘You’ll never dance with the pretty girl unless you ask.”

Besides, who would pass up free ice cream?

I have a feeling a lot of people are about to extend some invitations of their own…and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Murray actually honors each and every one.

Bill Murray, my friends, is the true definition of #WINNING.
