For 53 years now, Roll Call Newspaper has hosted a Congressional baseball game, where Republicans and Democrats alike have gotten the chance to roll up their sleeves and settle their differences on the field. Last week, for the sixth year in a row, Republicans had their butts handed to them by Democrats in a final score of 15-6. That’s much better than last year’s 22-0 shutout, but still embarrassing nonetheless. The game was ended at the top of the seventh inning due to a nasty thunderstorm.

Meanwhile, you can read the full breakdown of the game over at Roll Call, and take a look at all of the highlights in the video above. Make sure to watch for the “John Boehner Slow Jam,” included as a special gift about 45 seconds into the video. That alone should soften the blow inflicted upon the GOP.

Hopefully, what went down at Nationals Park isn’t any sort of harbinger of what’s to come in the midterms. In the end, they may be good with balls and bats…but they’re still Dummycrats.
