Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton isn’t one to pull punches. And today on Fox Business’ “Varney & Company,” he didn’t mince words.
“The world is descended into chaos,” Bolton said referring to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll that says only 36 percent of Americans approve of President Obama’s handling of foreign affairs.
“And I think this poll and the dropping approval numbers overall gives lie to the conventional political wisdom that Americans don’t care about foreign policy, that it is too remote from their lives,” he continued.
“The American people are much more sensible and practical than their political leaders and they see because our economy at home depends on a global economy that instability in Europe can have a profound effect.”
That same WSJ/NBC poll also says Obama’s job approval rating now stands at 40%–a new low for the president.
