Krauthammer: Acting Alone On Immigration A “Loser From Beginning To End For Obama”

    http://youtu.be/3DbZVO3W1A8

With support from major Democratic super PACs, and backing from his party in Congress, President Obama is gearing up to take executive action on immigration ahead of the midterm elections.

If that happens–if Obama fulfills his promise to legalize millions of illegals–it would be “a loser from beginning to end for Obama,” conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer said.

Republican leaders, namely Speaker Boehner, has already said impeachment is “off the table.”

According to Krauthammer, the “calculation” that Obama’s executive action could be “impeachment bait,” or “a way to make the Republicans do the one that could save Democrats in this election,” hasn’t materialized.

“To go big right now is certainly going to hurt Democrats in the states where it counts, which are Alaska, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Louisiana, where the Democrats are hanging on by a thread,” he added.

“I do think that if the president were to legalize 5 million illegal immigrants by fiat, that is a violation of the constitution that I think would reach the level of impeachable,” Krauthammer noted. “Nonetheless, it would be insane for Republicans to go ahead and do that.”
