Charles Krauthammer says that unless Obama plans to supply the Kurdish military with advanced weaponry, the airstrikes he ordered will be utterly useless.
“To attack an artillery piece here, and a truck there is okay, but this is a 600 mile front. In the end, it’s not going to make any difference,” Krauthammer said tonight on “Special Report.”
“The only thing that will make a difference,” he continued, “is Kurdish boots on the ground. Just fly in the weapons.”
Earlier on Friday, Krauthammer said the White House is not “near to a correct analysis” on the threat of ISIS.
In a radio appearance on the “Hugh Hewitt Show,” Krauthammer said it’s “insane” for the Obama administration to argue that ISIS isn’t a threat because they only operate in the Middle East. They could very easily pose “a huge threat” to America, he urged.
“The president is the problem,” Krauthammer said. “We have a president who is strategically clueless and who has deliberately, or by accident, or by incompetence, weakened the United States and we are in a very weak position.”
It was reported late Friday that ISIS has now kidnapped hundreds of Yazidi women.
However, this is not the first time that ISIS has captured innocent civilians of a town they conquered. Last month, ISIS kidnapped up to 186 Kurdish teenaged students.
In the face of this kind of evil, it’s hard to believe that America is pursuing half measures.
