When it comes to eliminating the murderous Islamic terror group ISIS, Barack Obama says “I don’t want to put the cart before the horse. We don’t have a strategy yet.”
It wasn’t long before Obama’s White House staffers were deployed to put out the massive fire their boss had lit.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest told CNN that Obama has a strategy for ISIS in Iraq, and is waiting for instructions from the Pentagon on his military options for ISIS in Syria.
“Those options are still being developed by the Pentagon,” he said. “They obviously have spent a lot of time working on this, and they’re still working through it.”
Don’t you just love it when these idiots clarify their gaffes for the little people?
Nevertheless, Obama said what he said. And it left Charles Krauthammer stunned.
“Look I thought that the president could no longer surprise me,” he said tonight on “Special Report.”
“I was wrong. He shocked me today.”
“The President of the United States, in the middle of a real crisis, a few days after the beheading of an American, deliberately sort of spitting in the face of the country and demonstrating his cruelty, the president gets in front of the world and says, ‘I don’t have a strategy.’ If that is true, don’t say anything. Why do you announce that you don’t have a strategy?”
Turns out, Krauthammer noted, Obama’s response on ISIS is eerily similar to his response on how to deal with Russia.
“Obama basically said, ‘We’re going to do nothing. I’ll wait until I chat with the allies next week.'”
“I thought he had a phone?” Krauthammer quipped, “how about picking up the phone and talking with the allies? You know the phone is a way to communicate rather rapidly.”
Wherever Obama’s phone is, he had better get to dialing up what American allies he hasn’t completely alienated. Just as Obama was explaining to the world that he doesn’t have a strategy for ISIS, Russia invaded Ukraine.
If Obama finds out about that in the news tomorrow, it won’t matter much anyway because he still won’t have a strategy.
