Dem Senator Admits Obama Still Doesn’t Have Cogent Plan For ISIS

Poor Barry can’t catch a break.

Speaking at an event hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations Thursday, Michigan Sen. Carl Levin said, “I don’t think there’s a fully fleshed ‘Plan A’ yet” as it relates to combating ISIS.

Senator Levin is the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Before admitting that Obama doesn’t a have a fully fleshed out “plan A” to deal with ISIS, Levin admitted that there isn’t even a “plan B that’s come to anyone’s mind because if there were a better plan than this one, [Plan A, which has not been ‘fleshed out’] people would’ve proposed it.”

Levin’s ISIS remarks come just as Speaker of the House John Boehner blasted Obama’s ISIS speech last night, saying the president’s plan to increase airstrikes in the region is insufficient.

“Based on all the information that I’ve looked at, the free Syrian army has by and large been very well vetted by our intelligence officials. Today they are in a fight against Assad. They’re in a fight against ISIL, and they are in a fight against another al Qaeda affiliate in eastern Syria. And they’re about to get run over,” Boehner said.

“An F-16 is not a strategy,” Boehner added, “and air strikes alone will not accomplish what we’re trying to accomplish.”

“And the president’s made clear that he doesn’t want U.S. boots on the ground. Well, somebody’s boots has to be on the ground,” he continued.

Obama’s plan to defeat ISIS is being panned by just about everybody, which is shocking given the widespread public support for action against ISIS.

The guy is just in way over his head.
