In the wake of American journalist James Foley’s beheading, you’d have to be fairly ignorant to not believe that ISIS poses a huge threat to U.S. national security. But if for some reason you’re still on the fence, let this news sink in.
A laptop that reportedly belonged to ISIS was discovered by rebels in Syria and given to U.S. intelligence officials. What was on it?
First of all, it’s being called “The Laptop of Doom.”
Among other things, the computer included detailed instructions on how to weaponize and spread the Bubonic Plague and other deadly viruses, in order to inflict mass casualties with much greater effect than standard chemical attacks.
“The benefits of a biological weapon are that it doesn’t come up often, and the losses are massive,” the instructions stated. “When a mouse is injected by the bacteria, the symptoms of the disease begin to show after 24 hours. It’s best to use in places like underground trains or soccer fields, and it can be used in a suicide attack as well.”
According to The Independent, the computer was the property of a Tunisian national who studied chemistry at two separate universities before joining ISIS, and experts believe he has already taught himself how to build chemical and biological weapons. “Chemical weapons are good by Allah” is another quote taken from the computer’s files. “If the Muslims can’t overwhelm the infidels in any other way, they are allowed to use weapons of mass destruction to kill everyone and erase them and their descendants from the earth.”
In addition to information about spreading Bubonic Plague, the laptop also included thousands of documents in English, Arabic, and French, as well as archival videos of Osama Bin Laden, guidebooks for stealing cars and building bombs, and instructional materials detailing how jihadis can use disguises and fake ID’s to avoid getting caught while traveling internationally.
With all of that said, as we gear up for the 13th anniversary of 9/11 — now only days away — aren’t you relieved to hear that this guy has no strategy for fighting this scum?
