Jay Carney Blames Bush For Obama’s New War Against ISIS

CNN’s newest Obama apologist and former White House spokesman Jay Carney said the president is in a new war against ISIS because America invaded Iraq 10 years ago.

Responding to S.E. Cupp’s claim that Obama has “boxed himself in” by  taking things off the table,” Carney said “In many ways we are here today because of the decisions made to invade Iraq more than a decade ago.”

Continuing to set up straw man arguments for Obama, Carney said “I understand that there is a desire by some to commit the United States to an open-ended war, to open the possibility of another land invasion of Iraq. There’s no appetite in the United States for that.”

“No one is talking about an open-ended war into perpetuity,” S.E. Cupp fired back. “We’re talking about putting things on the table, not taking things off the table so that the president isn’t in this very silly, semantic argument, having to defend a position that others around him, in his own circle, are now contradicting.”

Carney’s claims came just as new polls revealed that only 34% say they are satisfied with Obama on foreign policy, while a whopping 58% say they are disappointed in his foreign policy agenda.
