“Shark Tank meets The Apprentice.” That’s how Wendy Robbins, the creator of The Marijuana Show is describing her new web-based reality program. For some reason, she failed to include the whole cannabis thing in her quick spiel.
At any rate, The Marijuana Show is exactly what you think it is: a group of entrepreneurs will compete with their sticky icky ideas to jump-start the new legalized pot industry.
The show held one of its auditions this weekend, and around 200 cannabis enthusiasts showed up to try and make the cut with their proposals, after seeing this web pitch:
You’ll notice that the image of George Washington smoking a reefer is being used in the promotional materials for the series. I’m sure The American Fabius would be so proud.
A question for the Mary Jane lovers out there: if you’re watching a TV show about weed while you’re already smoking up, do you experience double the munchies?
