  • So This College Is Hosting “Sex Week” To Fight . . . Sexual Assault

Apparently a group of brain-dead students at The University of New Mexico thought it was a good idea to hold a “Sex Week” as a means to curtail instances of sexual assault on campus.

The university’s Women’s Resource Center is sponsoring the weeklong event. Students will have the opportunity to choose from a range of seminars like “How To Be a Gentleman AND Get Laid” and “Negotiating Successful Threesomes.”

They’re not sending any mixed messages with those titles.

Seriously. Why not hold a panel discussion lead by an actual victim of rape or sexual assault? Wouldn’t that do more good than a “How to Hookup” seminar?

“How are we going to compete globally when this is what students are focused on?” Outnumbered co-host Andrea Tantaros said. “A lot of these guys and gals already know how to do a lot of this stuff. And that’s the problem. They’re not focused on other things.”

If these young men and women weren’t taught how to conduct themselves appropriately during the first 18 years of their lives, how is a hypersexualized seminar going to help them?

I get wanting to promote safer interactions between students of the opposite sex. But this stuff is just bizarre.
