  • Devastating Ad Links Charlie Crist’s Creepy Strip Club Donations To Sex Trafficking

In an interview over the weekend, former Florida Republican Governor-turned Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist admitted to receiving nearly $100,000 in campaign donations from Florida strip club owners.

Charlie Crist is a political opportunist for the ages. But he may have reached a new level of sleaziness.

Asked why he hasn’t already returned the strip club money, Crist said “because we got it from a management company.”

Something tells me that ol’ Charlie is going to really regret those eight words.

News anchor Jim DeFede asked Crist if he thought the money should be sent back. Charlie said “no, I don’t.”

Earlier today, the Republican Party of Florida turned Crist’s callous comments into a political ad that’s scheduled to run statewide in Florida.

The Florida governor’s race is in 8 days.

In the GOP’s hard-hitting ad you can hear Crist refusing to return the $90,000 in donations, as words on the screen describe how those Crist-donating strip club owners’ establishments have been investigated for drug dealing, illegal prostitution, and sex trafficking dancers.

Charlie Crist and the Democratic Party have been running their campaigns on the idea of protecting women.

In a press release, the head of the Florida GOP, Leslie Dougher, blasted a few holes in that strategy. “Crist is all talk and no action, and his empty rhetoric on women’s issues is insulting but not surprising. If Charlie Crist had any shred of decency left, he would immediately return the dirty strip club cash.”

Real Clear Politics average of polls has the Florida gubernatorial race in a dead heat.

Below is the Crist stripper money interview that could give Governor Rick Scott the advantage.
