  • Dr. Beckel Has Become Mr. “Hide”!

Apologies if anyone was insulted by the insertion of the “Doctor” title before Bob Beckel’s name, but it made for a clever headline. The real question is: what’s Bobby so scared of?

It was two days ago that the resident grumpy liberal on Fox News’ The Five called out Daily Surge’s own Jason Mattera, essentially threatening to kill the guy. Apparently offended by Mattera’s brand of journalism, Beckel blasted the CRAPITALISM author as a “lousy, lying, un-American punk,” declaring that he would “kick his ass.” Oh, and we can’t forget when Bobby said Jason should be dropped overseas to fight ISIS — “…and bring a knife.”

Well, after Beckel challenged Mattera to meet him “anytime, anyplace,” the author obliged with the following tweet:

That was on Wednesday. But where oh where is Bob Beckel? He was certainly acting like a real tough guy when surrounded by his giggling Fox News cohorts who really should have known better than to criticize good journalism. But to date, there hasn’t been a peep from this blabbering goon about accepting Jason’s peaceful challenge.

Mattera’s publicist has even reached out to the producers of The Five to ensure that Bobby Boy knows Jason is prepared to take him up on his offer and engage in a national debate on the merits of the Lois Lerner video that stirred this controversy. Still, the sound of silence has been more deafening than even Simon & Garfunkel could have imagined.

I guess “anytime, anyplace” really means “on Bob’s terms only.” Which actually means “never.”

What are you so scared of, Mr. Schmeckel? Come out, come out, wherever you are!

Fox has history in broadcasting that spans two decades. From his early days as an FM host and club DJ in the mid-90′s to his later experiences in political talk radio, he has always had a knack for combining topical news with his love for popular culture. Those experiences culminated in his position as executive producer for several radio shows featured in the TALKERS Heavy 100. Originally from New York, Fox has made the great pilgrimage down to sunny south Florida.
