Dr. Cornel West Unloads on the “Drone Presidency” of Barack Hussein Obama

Will you be rushing to purchase or download Black Prophetic Fire on October 7th? What’s that, you ask? Why, it’s the groundbreaking new book from none other than Dr. Cornel West of Princeton University!

Dr. West may have appreciated President Obama at one point in time, but those days are long gone. In his book, he details how Obama has no “courage” or “compassion” when he speaks about the poor or those who have been wrongfully jailed. “I think he lacks backbone,” says the doctor. “I think he’s settled for the middle ground rather than the higher ground.”

West says he finds it stunning that Obama speaks to young black boys “in a very paternalistic way,” but when it comes to Wall Street, he speaks “in a very subservient way.” In an interview with TIME, he expanded on that. “When you say your major program for black young boys is going to be one of charity and philanthropy but no public policy, no justice, then criticism must be put forward just to be true to the black prophetic tradition.”

In perhaps the most revealing comments, Dr. West says he didn’t even vote in 2012. “I couldn’t vote for a war criminal,” he explained, going on to refer to the administration as a “drone presidency.”

At this point, there are so many progressives upset with Barack Obama that it makes more sense to focus on the ones who actually like him. Let’s see, there’s Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Nancy Pelosi…and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

And Nancy Pelosi.

I think that’s it.
