  • Obama Versus Ebola: He’s Totally “Tenacious,” Guys!

If there’s one thing we know about the Obama White House, it’s that they love latching onto phrases and keywords when publicly discussing crises, scandals, and world problems. Among my personal favorites has always been “We’re deeply concerned,” which I guess polls well in focus groups or something.

Well, Team Obama is back with a new adjective, this time in response to a fairly bungled Ebola crisis. It was unveiled by White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, and the word is…

    Tenacious.”

Yep, tenacious, tenacious, tenacious. The descriptor was kicked around so many times during Wednesday’s press briefing that I began to wonder whether Obama will soon start referring to himself as “Tenacious O.” With respect to The D, of course.

At any rate, check out the video above, and witness the early evolution of a new talking point, from conception to birth. Thanks to Grabien for the supercut.
