Ferguson Police May Charge Michael Brown’s Stepdad For Inciting Riots

Just after the grand jury decision was announced last Monday that no charges would be brought again Darren Wilson, Michael Brown’s stepfather repeatedly yelled “burn this bitch down” outside of the Ferguson courthouse.

And now, Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson says his department is looking into the stepdad’s rant further, which was caught on camera. In fact, Police Chief Jackson says “there’s a lot of discussion” about whether or not to charge him with inciting a riot.

Missouri Lt. Governor Peter Kinder has already called for an arrest.

St. Louis Alderman Antonio French told CNN’s Jake Tapper that “when he said those words [the] mood did change and things got a little bit out of control.”

“There are a lot of people, especially when you talk to business owners who lost their businesses who are very much angry about seeing that video,” CNN correspondent Ed Lavandera reported Tuesday.

More than a dozen businesses were burned down in Ferguson, Missouri, following the grand jury decision.
