Gay Designer Tom Ford’s “Penis Necklace” Looks A Lot Like A Crucifix

"golden dick"

If you’re hung up on what to get your loved one this Christmas, well, look no further. Gay designer and provocateur Tom Ford thinks he has just the right gift for you to give.

A penis necklace.

According to Ford’s website, the “penis pendant necklace” comes in three different sizes: small, medium, and large. It’s categorized under ‘new arrivals’ in Men’s fashion and clocks in at $790 a pop for the white gold selection, regardless of size.

A “golden dick for your neck,” as New York Magazine put it.

It also comes in silver, by the way.

Given the phallic jewelry’s arrant resemblance to a Christian crucifix, and the release of it around Christmas–a Christian holiday–it’s not a stretch to assume that Tom Ford is attempting to shove his gold-plated junk in the face of evangelicals around the world.

Look at it this way.

Would Tom Ford dare hyper-sexualize a widely recognized Islamic symbol like the star and crescent (☪) smack dab in the middle of Ramadan or Muharram, the Islamic New Year?

I don’t think so.

(He’d get beheaded.)

But I could be wrong.

(Actually, I’m not. He’d definitely get beheaded.)

What do you think?

Is the “golden dick” another stupid attempt to mock Christianity or is it a serious fashion accessory?
