  • Minister Gentry Slams Sharpton (Again): He’s “Doing More Stuttering Than Pinocchio”

Minister Johnathan Gentry has made a bit of a name for himself in recent weeks by slamming the Reverend Al Sharpton. So, as you might imagine, he’s not been too thrilled to see how Al has carried himself both before and after the cop killings in New York.

Sharpton is “doing more stuttering than Pinocchio,” the minister told Fox News. He was, of course, referring to Al’s attempt to save face in the past couple of days by begging for sympathy with laments over the death threats he has received.

For his part, Gentry is sick of it all. “We have seen his face more than we’ve seen the woman in the Progressive commercial, and you know that’s bad … we have seen this man’s face in everything, pretty much — when it comes to Sony, when it comes to Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown — but all of a sudden, you don’t want your face shown when two officers get killed.”

Gentry also reserved some fire for New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, as well as President Obama himself, though he clearly doesn’t want to get bogged down in a war of words. Watch the good minister’s remarks above.

From his early days as an FM host and club DJ in the mid-90′s to his later experiences in political talk radio, he has always had a knack for combining topical news with his love for popular culture. Those experiences culminated in his position as executive producer for several radio shows featured in the TALKERS Heavy 100. Originally from New York, Fox has made the great pilgrimage down to sunny south Florida.
