Homeland Security Warns Of ‘Right-Wing’ Terror Threat

Remember in 2009 when Obama’s Department of Homeland Security released a report claiming to define “rightwing extremism in the United States” who “may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration”?

No? The title of that report was “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.”

Still don’t remember it, huh?

What about the 2013 “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right” report released by the Combating Terrorism Center, based at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point?

You don’t recall that little gem either? It was another moronic attempt to draw attention to the supposed widespread and growing issue of “a racist/white supremacy movement, an anti-federalist movement and a fundamentalist movement” in America.

If you can’t remember the aforementioned reports, the Department of Homeland Security has released a new terror threat report. Only this new report warns of the looming danger posed by homegrown anti-government terrorists.

According to CNN, the real terror threat facing America won’t come from Islamic militants. Oh, no. The real threat will come from small government right-wingers.

From CNN:

They’ve lashed out against authority in incidents such as one in 2012, in which a father and son were accused of engaging in a shootout with police in Louisiana, in a confrontation that began with an officer pulling them over for a traffic violation. Two officers were killed and several others wounded in the confrontation. The men were sovereign citizen extremists who claimed police had no authority over them.

Among the findings from the Homeland Security intelligence assessment: “(Sovereign citizen) violence during 2015 will occur most frequently during routine law enforcement encounters at a suspect’s home, during enforcement stops and at government offices.”

The report adds that “law enforcement officers will remain the primary target of (sovereign citizen) violence over the next year due to their role in physically enforcing laws and regulations.”

The new DHS report also includes a graphic that shows “Sovereign citizen extremist violence from 2010-2014.”

A major region of the world is currently–as it has been from some time now–being consumed by Jihadist violence. So it’s more than ironic that while the Obama administration won’t dare admit that the overwhelming amount of Islamic violence we see is motivated by Islam, they won’t hesitate to identify, by name, the exact nature of the supposed imminent threat posed by so-called right-wingers.

Funny how that works.

Last question.

When’s the last time the Obama administration released a report on the threat America faces from violent left-wingers or Islamic terrorists?
