Two LAPD Detectives Reportedly Ambushed In Car

A gun battle between two LAPD detectives and an unknown suspect happened early Monday evening.

The officers were in their patrol car on the 600 Block of West 43rd Place when the suspect reportedly approached their car and began firing at them.

The officers returned fire.

The suspect was later rushed to a nearby hospital with injuries sustained during the shooting. No details yet on his condition.

No connections or motives have been made to whether the incident was gang related or a moment of rage directed at cops.

But according to KTLA 5, “the shooting occurred” on a busy street “in a residential area.”

It doesn’t appear that any pedestrians or police officers were wounded in the shoot-out.

This story is developing and will be updated as details come…
