Planet Fitness Bans Woman After Transgender Complaint

The P.C. Police are at again, only this time, it’s a national gym chain as the aggressor.

You’ve probably seen the commercials for Planet Fitness. They’re the ones who have a super cheap monthly rate, offer no “gymtimidation” for those who are squeamish to fitness, and have a very annoying “lunk alarm,” which is a loud alarm that goes off anytime someone grunts.

If you haven’t already joined the club of people who shake their head at this gym, you will now.

A Michigan women recently got her membership revoked when she had a complaint about a transgender man using the women’s locker room, or as McCall Gosselin, the Director of Public Relations for Planet Fitness says, “it was the manner in which she expressed her concerns that club management felt was inappropriate, resulting in the cancellation.”

Yvette Cormier said she was concerned for her safety when she saw a man enter the women’s locker room and begin undressing.

Speaking to CNN she said: “I wanted to know why there was a man in the women’s locker room. He looked like a man, and that’s what stopped me in my tracks.”

Cormier then went to the front desk attendant and was quickly told of their “no judgement” policy, which allows customers to use whatever locker room they want based on the gender that they identify as.

“If you have male parts you don’t need to be in the women’s locker room. I don’t care what you are; I don’t care if you’re gay lesbian, transgender or transvestite. I am uncomfortable with you as a male in my locker room, in my restroom,” Cormier said.
