  • Some Dems Think Clinton Should Take PR Notes From Iran

Iran has stepped up its social media game, and some Democrats wish their presumptive nominee, Hillary Clinton, could get on its level.

“The Iranians have a better rapid response than Hillary,” an administration official complained to reporter Alan Rappeport, who reported the Dems discontent in The New York Times Wednesday.

Iran’s supreme leader actually live tweeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress last week, hashtags and all:

In the past 50 yrs, how much money and #reputation has it cost US to support #Israel’s crimes? Who other than its nation has paid for it?

And when Sen. Tom Cotton tweeted out a letter to Iranian leaders, which he and 46 senators sent to Iran Monday, foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif quickly tweeted a rebuttal. (RELATED: The Media’s Reaction To The Iran Letter Is Nothing Short Of Apocalyptic)

“I wanted to make sure you saw this,” Cotton tweeted:

Zarif sent back an attached statement deriding the letter as “a propaganda ploy.”

Clinton’s use of a single tweet last week to respond to questions about her private email account as head of state was not well received, and her press conference Tuesday didn’t go much better. (RELATED: A Bunch Of Tweets Mocking Hillary Clinton’s Disastrous Press Conference)
