  • Gitmo Prisoner Has Match.com Online Dating Profile

A Guantanamo Bay prisoner who has been described by U.S. officials as a close associate of Osama bin Laden has a dating profile on Match.com and is “detained but ready to mingle,” his lawyer said.

Muhammad Rahim al-Afghani, the love-seeking inmate, has reportedly asked his lawyer, Carlos Warner, to let him know if his profile is getting any winks.

The alleged terrorist joked about having an Ashley Madison account in light of the recent hacking scandal in a letter his attorney shared with the news station.

“This is terrible news about Ashley Madison please remove my profile immediately!!!,” al-Afghani said in the note.“I’ll stick with Match.com. There is no way I can get Tinder in here.”

Al-Afghani also shared  his views on American politics.

“Donald Trump is an idiot! Sen. McCain is a war hero, Trump is a war zero…At this rate Hillary has a chance,” he wrote in another letter.

He also expressed sympathy for Caitlyn Jenner and spouted liberal talking points about Jenner’s transition.

“I am happy for her because people are born how they are,” he said. “I have one question though — how is she a Republican? They want to take her rights away?”

His light-hearted musings come after years of abuse while locked up at Gitmo.

Al-Afghani, who has been held at the U.S. detention center since 2008, is yet to be charged with a crime. He was one of several inmates tortured while in CIA custody, according to a Senate Intelligence Committee report that detailed the abuse of several prisoners.
