  • John Leguizamo Is Boycotting SNL: Trump Hosting Is ‘Hurtful’ And ‘Insulting’

Actor John Leguizamo ripped Donald Trump in an interview with Yahoo News Live Wednesday and declared that he will boycotting Saturday Night Live because inviting to Trump to hurt the show is “hurtful and insulting.”

I am all for freedom of speech, don’t get me wrong. I believe in freedom of speech. This is different this is celebrating somebody, he is not doing it politically, this is not 60 minutes where they are asking him real questions,” Legizamo told host Brianna Golodryga in the wide ranging interview. “If he had said those things about any other ethnic group he would not be on that SNL. I mean I find SNL to do that and NBC, I find it really insulting. I find it hurtful and insulting.”

“You’re celebrating somebody who has said some horrible things, I find it unacceptable,” he continued. “I will not watch. I won’t watch SNL anymore,” he said. “What he says doesn’t even fall into the category of PC. It is hatemongering. I hope what I do in my work is not denigrating or belittling.”

The Colombian-born actor and comedian also complained about Marco Rubio during the interview.

Leguizamo said Rubio did great during the debates because “at least he has ideas and opinions” but he is “on the wrong side.”

“Latin people for Republicans are like roaches for Raid,” he said.

Trump’s appearance on SNL is moving forward and is expected to deliver big ratings to NBC on Nov. 7, despite a number of boycotts. The pro-amnesty group Deport Racism is even attempting to bribe activists with $5,000 if they disrupt Trump’s SNL appearance by yelling, “Trump is a racist!”
