Whoa. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) went there.
He climbed into the fracas and willingly spoke the words that so many on the left and in the media (but I repeat myself) said was just kookery believed by the tinfoil be-hatted.
However, Paul is anything but a kook. He is, after all, a medical expert. In fact, he is a real doctor. He is an opthamologist, and someone who has interacted personally with Hillary Clinton.
Speaking to the folks at Breitbart news, Paul said that he believes Hillary Clinton has some “significant” health problems and that she hasn’t been honest about what she is dealing with.
“I think she has some significant health problems–I don’t know what they are,” he told Breitbart news. “Her losing consciousness, there, which by all appearances she did lose consciousness, is not something commonly associated with pneumonia.”
Senator Paul was also concerned about the kind of medical care that Clinton was receiving and about her doctor’s explanations of what was occurring.
“The diagnosis as a something being a non-infectious infection is kind of a strange way to describe a pneumonia as well,”
However, the problem that seems to gnaw most at Senator Paul is Clinton’s unwillingness to speak frankly with the American people.
A candidate running for the highest office in the land and asking to be trusted with more responsibility than any other political figure in the country should be willing to deal honestly with the citizens from who’s she’s asking for support.
“Her heath is an issue. Particularly the fact that she has not been very forthcoming with it.”
Senator Paul also offered some unsolicited advice to the Trump campaign. If Paul were in Donald Trump’s position as we approach the finish line of the presidential campaign, he would not focus on Clinton’s personal health failings but instead he would argue that Clinton was unfit for the presidency because of her other failures, namely Benghazi.
“My advice–although it has not been requested–is to make the point that she is not fit to be commander-in-chief because she pulled the security out of Benghazi,”
Paul contended, before adding that he would also mention her botched handling of Iraq, Libya, and Syria. Taken altogether, these failures prove that she lacks the wisdom and the judgment to be president.
Ouch. Rand Paul knows how to hit ‘em where it hurts, and it’s nice to see him jumping into the presidential fray and throwing a few punches. He’s right on the mark in this interview.
Hillary is unfit to lead for a whole host of reasons, and Donald Trump should remind America of them all.
