COMMENTARY: Summary of Trump’s 100 Day Plan

Donald Trump has presented a comprehensive plan for the first 100 days of his presidency. Here is an outline of what he has proposed:

A. GENERAL CONCEPTS

  1. Cancel all unconstitutional Obama executive orders.
  2. SCOTUS: Replace Scalia with a judge who will uphold the Constitution.
  3. Establish term limits for Congress.
  4. Hiring freeze for non-military government jobs.
  5. Eliminate two existing regulations for each new regulation.
  6. Five-year ban on post-Congress lobbying.
  7. Limits on foreign governmental lobbying.
  8. Fix Washington corruption.

B. ECONOMY

  1. Renegotiate or withdraw from NAFTA.
  2. Withdraw from Trans Pacific Partnership.
  3. Identify China as currency manipulator.
  4. End unfair foreign trade abuses.
  5. Lift restrictions on energy reserves.
  6. Allow keystone pipeline and similar projects.
  7. Cancel payment to UN climate change; use the money to fix our own environment and infrastructure.

C. TAX

  1. Only 3 tax brackets (down from 7).
  2. Middle class tax relief; average 35% tax cut.
  3. Reduce business tax rate from 35% to 15%; bring money back to US, create more jobs.
  4. Tariffs to stop US firms from relocating abroad.

D.SECURITY and IMMIGRATION

  1. Rebuild the military; end sequester.
  2. Veterans health reforms.
  3. Fix the VA.
  4. Cancel federal funding of sanctuary cities.
  5. Deport 2 million illegal criminals; cancel visas from countries who won’t take them back.
  6. Suspend immigration from terror-prone regions where vetting cannot occur.
  7. End illegal immigration.
  8. Build the wall.
  9. Two-year mandatory prison sentence for breaking immigration law.
  10. Five-year mandatory sentence for convicted felons who re-enter the US.
  11. Penalties for visa infractions.
  12. Require immigrants to support our values.

E. CRIME

  1. Establish community crime prevention program.
  2. Help eliminate criminal gangs.

F. HEALTHCARE

  1. Repeal and replace Obamacare.
  2. Health savings accounts.
  3. Purchase insurance across state lines.
  4. States to manage Medicaid funds.
  5. Speed up approval of life-saving drugs.

G. EDUCATION

  1. Allowances for parents to choose schools.
  2. End Common Core.
  3. Expand vocational and technical education.
