  • Forget Kneelers – North Korea Says “Trump Has Declared War”

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho stated:  WE ARE AT WAR!

This was in response to a Twitter comment from President Trump calling his tweet a “declaration of war”.

Maybe they should dial it back a bit, and learn about Donald Trump’s relationship with Twitter.

@realdonaldtrump says a lot of provocative things via Twitter. Take a look at the tweet in question:

Not exactly a declaration of war. Sure, it may be unbecoming of our president to call the North Korean president “Rocket Man” or threaten that they won’t be around much longer, but it’s not a declaration of war.

First of all, the President of the United States can’t just “Declare War”. He can engage in war like activities under the War Powers Act for a limited amount of time without congressional approval, but that is not a declaration of war. Declarations of War have to be approved by congress, not that it would stop @realdonaldtrump from laying down some big time suppressive fire if need be.

Technically, aren’t we still at war with North Korea anyway? Not really, but sort of. The last Korean War was technically only a “police action” and on July 27, 1953 we signed and Armistice Agreement to cease fighting and divide everything up fairly. To resume fighting we could just pick up where our grandfathers left off or go through the process of launching a new agreement to launch hostilities.

Foreign Minister Ho continued with his bluster:

“The whole world should clearly remember it was the U.S. who first declared war on our country,” Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho told reporters on Monday in New York, according to various reports.

“Since the United States declared war on our country, we will have every right to make countermeasures, including the right to shoot down United States strategic bombers even when they are not inside the airspace border of our country,” he said.

I realize it’s difficult to not be offended sometimes by President Trump and his tweeting, but I think someone in North Korea might want to rethink their aggressive attitude. If “Rocket Man” actually does shoot at one of our airplanes or actually does launch a missile our way, then it is guaranteed that their will be much more than a Twitter-war going on.

A “Real” war with the US is going to end badly for North Korea. Sure it will involve loss of life for both sides, especially if the Koreans actually manage to explode an H Bomb on the mainland or anywhere, but if they do that, the entire world will line up behind us as we crispy-fry the North side of the peninsula.

That being said, hopefully someone in North Korea can explain to their leadership that much of what is said on Twitter is bologna! Just because President Trump likes to use it as method of communication doesn’t mean it is how American policy is administered.

To be clear my dear beloved “Rocket Man”, America has not declared war on you. Believe me, you’d know if we had. The whole world would know.

IF you shoot at or near any of our stuff, however, it will be game on.
