    “You learn through life you have certain responsibilities, and if you don’t fulfill them, how can you look in the mirror?”

    Those are the words of one Grandpa Joe, a retired senior citizen in Sarasota, now running against Republican Vern Buchanan, who has faced multiple ethics investigations during the past 8 years. Grandpa Joe’s platform? Medicare, anti-poverty programs, and Social Security–a program he actually helped set up oh-so many years ago.

    Too old? Too risky? Too liberal? Say what you want, but here’s a Democrat who actually lived through The Great Depression. Give him two minutes of your time to hear him out (he’s only technically a write-in candidate anyway, and isn’t expected to get much of any Democratic support).
