Chris Matthews Says Ted Cruz is Bad for America, Like a ‘Caged Animal’

Less than 24 hours after Chris Matthews said, “There’s something about [Cruz] I really don’t think is good for the country,” the MSNBC host doubled down last night saying the Senator’s brand of conservatism is “. . . the politics of the zoo where each animal gets to rule its own cage. It gets to roar or whine or snort or whatever, as loud as it wants. Ted Cruz doesn’t mind who owns the zoo, of course, he wants it own his own cage.”

It’s a good thing for Chris Matthews that Senator Cruz is a Republican. Imagine the outrage in reaction to a rich white man in Matthews comparing a Hispanic sitting US Democratic Senator to a caged animal. Just imagine.
