Nancy Pelosi receives award named after Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger

Tonight, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is set to receive Planned Parenthood’s annual Margaret Sanger Award.

If you don’t know, Margret Sanger believed in eugenics–a psuedo-science that focused on improving the human species by controlling who breeds. Sanger gave a speech to the women’s branch of the Ku Klux Klan:

Sanger wrote in 1932 about a “Population Congress,” tasked with studying and implementing the findings of eugenicists. Among the priorities: “Apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization, and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is already tainted or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.”

Sanger also wrote about rounding up “the whole dysgenic populations” and segregating them to farmlands to work the fields for the rest of their lives.

In her book, “The Pilot of Civilization,” Sanger wrote that charity was “cruelty” because helping the low-income allowed them to reproduce, which was “positively injurious to the community and the future of the race.”

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the founder of Planned Parenthood.

Today, Planned Parenthood is America’s largest abortion provider. To be clear, in 1997, Planned Parenthood, according to their own fact sheet, received $165 million from taxpayers and performed 165,174 abortions. They performed 305,310 in 2007 and received $363 million.

Noticing a pattern yet? As taxpayer funding increased, so did the number of abortions.

LifeNews.com reports Planned Parenthood performs 134 abortions for every adoption referral.

More appalling, Thatsabortion.com says 70 percent of these abortion factories are concentrated in minority neighborhoods. While black child-bearing women make up a just 3 percent of America, they comprise a heartbreaking 30 percent of abortions. Hispanic women make up a similarly disproportionate 25 percent.

And it would seem that Planned Parenthood is fulfilling Sanger’s dream:

Nancy Pelosi is well aware of the disgusting person Margret Sanger was and the daily destruction of human potential that Planned Parenthood inflicts. And Nancy Pelosi’s membership in the Democratic party trumps her Catholicism. But abortion is the holy sacrament of the Democratic party.
