Time To Cut The Government, Not The Military

You would think protecting the security of the American people would be of the utmost importance to our elected leaders in office. Today’s White House is not exempt from doing its job, but lucky for President Barack Obama and his administration, “exemptions” of all kinds are plentiful. Accountability to the American people and upholding the rule of law apparently does not apply. We’ve witnessed this time and time again with this president, i.e., Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the NSA spying, the IRS targeting, the endless redistribution of wealth by overtaxing and over-regulating, and the ongoing through-the-roof entitlement spending. Unfortunately for the American people it’s not just Tea Party and Christian organizations, business owners, victims of gun running, and United States dignitaries who are at risk of being targeted, (and targeted for no other reason than to be discriminated against for political gain mind you), the nation on a whole has never been more vulnerable to the (chaotic) world outside the U.S. borders than it is at this very moment.

Losing everyday protections for Americans, that happen to be guaranteed under the United States Constitution, have now been taken to a another level. Just recently, it was reported that Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel wants to shrink the army to its smallest size. Since PRE-WWII LEVELS that is. How stupid is that? Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security in 2012 had purchased 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition which happen to include HOLLOW POINT bullets, that by the way, our very own soldiers aren’t allowed to possess. But I digress.

Putting aside the money wasted on lavish vacations, government handouts of all kinds, the culmination of billions of dollars spent on frivolous studies is hardly talked about. One recent example includes thousands of dollars spent to analyze the “swimming abilities” of guess what? “Babies,” you might ask? No! Try, fish! Analyzing the swimming abilities of fish take precedent over our finest and the people they sacrifice for.

Suffice it to say, our president is supplying himself with ammo of all kinds, including the illegal kind, and spending like a fish (pardon the pun), while our military budget is being SLASHED.

Just a little side note: While this is all taking place, and FISH are being studied for their swimming abilities, each year millions of (precious) unborn babies are being slaughtered in the womb (at tax dollar expense). Sickening!

Bottom line. The responsibility to protect the American people and our military lies with the President of the the United States but somehow Obama is exempt. Since he’s been in office, our borders remain open, our immigration and visa laws are not enforced, our soldiers overseas are not properly equipped, and waste, fraud, and corruption within the government abound! And the billions of dollars that will soon be stripped from our military will inevitably place our country in further danger! What’s just as dangerous: Chuck Hagel insists that the existing troop level of 520,000 is “bigger than necessary” and “larger than we can afford to modernize and keep ready.”
(Long sigh)

I have but just one thing to say to Chucky and to the senate and the commander in chief who appointed him: We can’t afford not to keep our army and nation equipped at all costs and ready for battle if need be!
