In the after show segment of his HBO show Real Time, host Bill Maher weighed in on the Mozilla controversy. Maher, surprisingly seemed to disagree with the gay rights activists who targeted former Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich because of his 2008 donation in support of a ballot initiative that would ban same-sex marriage in California.
“Well, and he gave it when President Obama was still against gay marriage. So, I don’t think it’s very fair,” Carrie Sheffield of Forbes said.
That’s a “good point,” Maher responded.
”I think there is a gay mafia,” Maher said. “I think if you cross them, you do get whacked.”
