“Well tonight, we look at how and why this man, Donald Sterling, billionaire owner of the L.A. Clippers, got himself tape-recorded in the worst such case of verbal self-destruction since Mitt Romney’s 47% debacle,” Matthews said. He then doubled down on his asinine attempt to tie Sterling to Republicans saying Sterling’s rants might be as bad as Richard Nixon’s infamous White House recordings.
While it’s fair to say that Romney’s “47%” comments were insensitive, they are in no way comparable to vile filth that can be heard on tape allegedly coming from Ronald Sterling. But Chris Matthews doesn’t give a flip about being fair. All he, like the Democratic party he sucks up to, cares about is spreading filth and dividing the country.
Chris Matthews is utterly despicable and dishonest. And this kind of rhetoric needs to stop.
