  • College Students Can’t Name One Single United States Senator

To be fair, most of them are rather forgettable

Just a little bit of fun here, courtesy of the Media Research Center. I can’t say I’m surprised by the results, although American University is thought to be home to some smart eggs. That’s apparently not the case here, as none of the students interviewed can manage to come up with the name of a sitting senator even by accident–with the exception of one Rand Paul, whose brand recognition is clearly cutting through with young people more than he’s probably given credit for (with at least some thanks to his dad’s reputation, I’d reckon).

Be sure to watch through to the end, though, where you’ll discover that just about every one of these college kids can identify the name of the theme song to Disney’s “Frozen.” So at least there’s that. I’d imagine they can all name 10 beer brands in 10 seconds as well. Ah, to be young…
