  • Michigan Judge Explodes: “I Hope You Die in Prison”

    And it looks like he'll get his wish

    Wow. Listen, I’m all for due process and such, but every once in a while, don’t you just want to see a man of the law lay into a guilty defendant after the verdict is rendered?

    31-year old Camia Gamet had the book thrown at her a few days ago, as Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain told her that the cruel method in which she murdered her boyfriend was among the worst “cold-blooded murders” he’s seen in his life.

    “You gutted him like a fish in that apartment,” McBain said during sentencing, as he dressed Gamet down after watching her roll her eyes and snicker in the courtroom.

    Camia was convicted of first-degree murder and will spend the rest of her life behind bars without any chance of parole. So, when Judge McBain told her “I hope you die in prison,” it was a lot more than wishful thinking.
