• MSNBC Hack: “No One Threatened to Impeach George Bush”

    Revisionist history at its finest

Ah, good old MSNBC. They’ll say just about anything to bolster a Left-wing narrative, won’t they? Above is contributor Jimmy Williams, who is attempting to make the case that Democrats treated President George W. Bush far better than Republicans are behaving towards one Barack Obama. According to him, this whole “calling for impeachment” thing is essentially something brand new, concocted by Republicans who just don’t like having an African-American in the White House.

Only one problem: plenty of Democrats were calling to impeach both Bush AND Cheney throughout their 8 years in office. From NewsBusters:

Pelosi may have taken impeachment off the table, but there were, in fact, others who did threaten to impeach President Bush. In 2008, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) introduced 35 articles of impeachment against Bush in the House of Representatives. In 2005, Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) tried to create an investigative committee to consider impeaching the president. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), both before and after he was elected to Congress, called for Bush’s impeachment. In fact, Speaker Pelosi admitted in 2007 that she would probably favor impeachment if she were not in the House.

Yep, facts are stubborn things. And so are YouTube videos. Anyone else remember this gem from 2008?

    Oopsies!

Mr. President, I would ask unanimous consent to punish MSNBC’s Jimmy Williams with the administering of an atomic wedgie.
