Oops: Senator Goes to the Wrong Hearing

Senior US Senator from Indiana Dan Coats, 70, was all set and ready for an appropriations hearing on the defense budget when he realized he was at the wrong hearing.

“I just got a note saying I’m at the wrong hearing,” Coats said as the committee crowd laughed. “Well, thank you. I saw some familiar faces and I thought this is where I should be,” Coats continued.

Coats’ official Twitter account kept the cheeky bit going with this tweet:
