• Republicans Are Persona Non Grata at Clay Aiken Fundraisers

    Well, there goes my weekend plans

    If you’re a Republican who happens to enjoy the musical stylings of Clay Aiken, there’s a bad moon on the rise. Judging from the above video, taken from a fundraiser aimed at helping the former “American Idol” star unseat current North Carolina Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R), he and his staffers don’t want anything to do with GOP’ers. Oh yeah, and watch out–they’re willing to use f-bombs to make that abundantly clear, because, you know, that’s what “the tolerant party” is all about and stuff.

    To be fair, it’s not exactly clear why this citizen journalist is being kicked out of the event, but his staffers are clearly doing everything they can to keep him away from Clay–an interesting tactic to ensure that he won’t have to answer too many tough questions during one of the toughest midterm seasons Democrats have had to face in years.

    Here’s an idea…if Clay really doesn’t want to deal with his opposition, perhaps he can just get “Invisible” instead:
