• Adam Carolla: Reparations For Slavery Are “F***ing INSANE”

This month’s addition of The Atlantic Magazine features a 15,000 word essay called “The Case for Reparations” from Atlantic senior editor Ta-Nehisi Coates.

After reading Coates’ entire article, my reaction was:

Today on MSNBC, Coates actually made this argument in favor of reparations:

It’s precisely these kinds of illogical and staggeringly asinine arguments that sadden me so much. It is simply irrational to think that someone who immigrated to America 30 years ago, and two decades after the civil rights movement ended, should have to pay reparations to black people they never came close to oppressing in any way, shape, form, or fashion.

But that is what Coates and his liberal allies believe.

Today comedian and author of “President Me: The America That’s in My Head,” Adam Carolla was asked about reparations in an interview with Real Clear Politics’ Tom Bevan. Coralla creams Coates’ idea that reparations need to be paid because of slavery and the “societal oppression” that persisted decades after the Civil War.

Carolla said he opposes reparations because he’s “not a big fan of handing people things and thinking that’s going to work.”

He added that it was “f***ing insane” to think that taking money from one group of people and giving it to another of people would help remedy poverty, and said that “just giving people gift certificates to Chili’s” wouldn’t work either. Carolla also said race relations in America are far worse under Obama because of the “doubling-down of all the race-baiters” that arose as a result of Obama’s presidency.
