• The Left’s Latest Spin: Ambassador Stevens Wasn’t Murdered in Benghazi

    Oh, okay

Wow. I’ve heard plenty of political spin in my day, but this is low even for a Democrat. There’s obviously no disputing at this point that the attack on our consulate in Benghazi back in 2012 was a terrorist attack. But that doesn’t mean liberal whiners like Eleanor Clift won’t simply try and redefine what a terrorist attack is!

According to Eleanor and her air quotes, Ambassador Chris Stevens “died of smoke inhalation in a CIA safe room.” While that may be technically true, that’s a little like saying a stabbing victim wasn’t “murdered” if they managed to cling to life long enough to expire inside the emergency room.

The lengths to which Democrats have gone to downplay what happened on that terrible day tell us one simple thing: they’re scared to death. Not scared to death of terrorists or repercussions, mind you–but scared to death that Benghazi will destroy Hillary Clinton’s chances at winning the White House in 2016 if the truth ever comes to light. There’s absolutely no other reason to spit on a U.S. Ambassador’s legacy in this way. “If you’re going to put somebody on trial, put David Petraeus on trial, not Hillary Clinton,” begs Clift. As if we’re all just looking for a scapegoat instead of actual answers. How condescending.

The “Cover Hillary’s A** Game” is nothing new for this crowd…but the choice of words is getting downright cruel and disrespectful. Here’s Nancy Pelosi just the other day, actually claiming that the victims’ families don’t want the truth uncovered:

This coming from a woman who would relitigate the Iraq War every day in the House of Representatives if she could. Stay classy, Dems.
