  • NBC’s Meet the Press Invites to Debate Rep. Jason Chaffetz

    A policy discussion

Mere days after reports that the higher-ups at NBC are doing some serious “brand consulting” regarding the future of David Gregory and Meet the Press came this rather interesting addition to the roundtable.

Apparently, they needed a man with oodles of wisdom who could go toe-to-toe with GOP Congressman Jason Chaffetz. So the only logical choice was the man responsible for this:

Yes, the Black-Eyed Peas founder was on hand to engage in a debate about the private sector versus big government. As Chaffetz points out, Will is an example of the private sector doing extremely well. But Mr. “I Am” doesn’t quite see it that way. Notice how he also drops the Apple company name so casually that one almost forgets that they pay him.

I suppose they’ll just have to agree to disagree. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to next week’s Meet the Press, in which Newt Gingrich debates Justin Bieber on the issue of mandatory minimum sentencing.
