Congratulations are in order for 28-year old Susan Brennan of Orchard Lake, Michigan. She’s the proud winner of the top prize in the 10th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest, held up in New York City. She took home the grand prize of $10,000 for her creation, titled “Romance on a Roll.”
The contest rules are fairly simple. Contestants can create gowns, veils, purses, and whatever other accessories they like in a wedding dress…but they can only use Charmin Ultra Soft toilet paper as their raw materials. Thread, tape, and glue is also allowed.
Had I just stumbled upon this contest and not known what it was, I might have thought these were “real” wedding dresses. They’re that impressive. But I probably would have figured out what was going on once I headed to the restroom and saw something missing.
TP…or not TP? That is the question.
