Krauthammer: IRS Scandal Either “Rank incompetence” Or “Corruption”

On tonight’s “Special Report,” Charles Krauthammer laid out two politically nightmarish scenarios for the Obama administration. “Either it’s incompetence, which undermines the whole idea of big government. Or it is corruption.”

“Either on the one hand, the best interpretation is that this is rank incompetence the losing of these records,” he continued. “In which case you add this to the VA scandal and others, and you have the party of government, the Democrats, who pretend to want to run healthcare, who want to run everything. This exposes them as totally unable to do that. And leaves the government truly discredited.”

Krauthammer went on to say that “this really is a serious issue.” And “in the absence of a special prosecutor, we may never know” what really happened at the IRS.
