Bergdahl Deserves To Be Shot

The alleged traitor Bowe Bergdahl is going back to active duty. He became famous when he was infamously traded for the Obama Five. The Obama Five were hardened upper level terrorists released from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in trade for one American deserter named Bowe Bergdahl. I realize the man deserves a fair court martial, and I believe in the rule of law. Justice is blind, but justice is far from this case as east is to west. This case is shrouded in lies, political corruption, and deceit. Justice should be done here, but the likelihood of that happening is slipping away like victory in Iraq.

Our President has engaged in the dirtiest of deeds. Big surprise I know. He has engaged in the kind of national betrayal that would make a Clinton intern blush.

I state with absolute confidence that Bowe Bergdahl is a traitor. Why am I so confident without a court of law proving it? Here’s why. Every single man who served with Bergdahl thinks he’s a traitor. Every single one would willingly take the stand and send Bergdahl to the firing squad or gallows or whatever you like.

Do you know how hard it is to make your entire unit turn on you like his has?

Really damn hard. The military truly is a band of brothers. They forgive flaws. They overlook each others weaknesses. They don’t care about political parties. They have each others back through thick and thin. They would die for each other. They would lie under oath for each other. The bonds between the men who serve together transcend what the average friendship or most marriages know. The only way to get an entire group of men like this to turn their back on a brother…is to betray them to the enemy. To desert and leave your post is the cardinal of all sins. Bowe Bergdahl did that. He betrayed that bond with his brothers.

Bowe Bergdahl at some point had his Brutus moment. Et tu Brute’?

Once you break that trust, there is no coming back.

So when the President of the United States embraces the parents of that traitor in White House Rose Garden it pisses you off. But hey, such is being a soldier. Lot’s of it pisses them off. They have to serve under crappy commanders-in-chiefs and good ones. They have to take a bite of the shit sandwich and ask for seconds.

Since I’m not in that unit…I will ask the questions and I will berate this President like they are too honorable to do.

Why have none of the members on Bergdahl’s unit been questioned? None!

Why has Bergdahl not been questioned?

Why is there not a formal court martial under way?

Why is the White House trying to get the felony charge of desertion knocked down to AWOL?

Why is this President not being impeached for aiding and abetting our enemies in a time of war? Releasing enemy combatants in trade for a traitor…any plausible explanation? No there isn’t one that is satisfactory.

Now Mr. Judas Bergdahl is being sent back to active duty in Texas. Why is he not being held the brig until his execution? Why?

He’s a traitor and many men died trying to get him back. He has the blood of good men on his Koran stained hands. Some say he will not be court-martialed at all; he might even get $300+ thousand dollars in back pay, and still get an honorable discharge. Well here’s where I lose it.

I hope your happy Benedict Bergdahl. I wish they would station you in Ft. Hood so when the next psycho opens fire there – maybe a stray bullet will find your frontal lobes. Allahu Akbar! If you really get an honorable discharge I hope you squirrel yourself away into the mountains somewhere where no one could find you except for a highly trained operator. Good luck sleeping soundly you traitorous dirtbag!

Bowe Bergdahl needs to be treated like his obvious mentor, Eddie Slovik.

He should be shot, and right now. Somehow, I doubt that’s the photo-op Obama is looking for.
