• Petty Politics: Rep. Ellison Says Alito Doesn’t Deserve to Be Called “Justice”

    Fighting words

An “activist court” is always in the eye the beholder, right? Democrats are absolutely beside themselves this week, after Monday’s Supreme Court ruling delivered a metaphorical slap in the face to the Obama White House, siding with Hobby Lobby on the much deliberated question over the contraception mandate in Obamacare and its application to small businesses. Of course, had The Supremes ruled their way, Dems wouldn’t have even remembered what the word “activist” means.

But when you want to hear the most insane and petty commentary on the news of the day, you’ll always find it over on MSNBC. Congressman Keith Ellison was front and center on Monday’s “The Ed Show,” where he declared that he will now only refer to Justice Alito as “Mister Alito.” Ooooooooh, what a rebel! If I were in fourth grade, I’d think Congressman Keith is totes the bees knees. Sorry, I mean “Mister Ellison.”

But let’s not be too hard on this baby boy, okay? After all, Keith is an emotional guy…and I’d hate to see this happen to him again:
